Store Expansion COMING SOON!

WELL IT’S BEEN A MINUTE. I have not sat down to write anything on here in a few years because our retail store has quite literally taken up every ounce of my being. In a good way. However, I figured it would only be appropriate to chit chat with you all about our STORE EXPANSION since this was the first platform we announced that we were opening up a shop in the first place. So, it’s true! We are expanding 13 Touro Street and opening up the wall into the space next door, which is 15 Touro Street. Little Chateau is not going to be so little anymore!

We have absolutely loved our intimate, little space, but we’ve grown. There was only so much product we could really sell in our current space and only so much stock room square footage to be able keep all of our merchandise on site. Our current fitting room is also a bathroom. So that has also not been ideal, but it has worked for us these last 3 years (how did that happen?!) It was the perfect way to start off and we have loved every second spent in our 300 sq foot store. We opened just 2 years after COVID hit, so we really were taking a gamble even opening a store in the first place during a pandemic. So starting small was the safest way to get our foot in the retail door.

So what do we have planned for the expanded space? We PROMISE it will still have an intimate, cozy, boutique-y feel that 13 Touro has embodied so well. We will have much more merchandise in all categories that we already carry, more space for events like sip + shops, trunk shows, store parties, etc., proper fitting rooms (praiseeee be!), a sitting area, a bar area, and much, much more. I still can’t believe this is happening. We are just so excited. AND PLUS, we are going to have our very own office and sooooo much more storage space, which is truly life changing.

We pour our hearts into what we do. Owning a retail business is a 24/7 job, but the work is so enjoyable. We do all of the buying, the marketing, bookkeeping, graphic design, product design, merchandising, photography, we fulfill online orders, manage our e-commerce website and more. We wear a lot of hats. However, what we love the most is seeing our design visions come to life and meeting so many incredible people who really want us to succeed. Our community is truly so special. So thank YOU. I know most business owners always say “we couldn’t do it without you” bla bla bla. But, it’s true. If you didn’t believe in us, if you weren’t so loyal to shopping small, if you didn’t encourage us, we would not be expanding our store. We’re not expanding this shop for us, we’re expanding it for you.
